Wizards

Wizards are step-by-step guided workflows that set up common Nettica configurations for you automatically. Rather than manually creating networks, services, and VPN entries one at a time, a wizard collects a few answers and does the work for you.

Wizards require you to be logged in as an account admin or owner. A "User" role cannot run wizards.

Opening Wizards

Wizards can be accessed from the main screen, the main menu, or the Services screen. When you have at least one available service credit, the floating action button shows Wizards (magic-wand icon). Tap it to open the Wizards screen.

Searching Wizards

Use the search bar in the app bar to filter the wizard list by name or description keyword. The list updates as you type. Clear the field to show all available wizards.

Available Wizards

The following wizards are available. Some require a specific number of service credits; wizards that require more credits than you currently have available are shown but grayed out.

• AdGuard — configures DNS ad and tracker blocking using AdGuard's public DNS. No service credits required. It uses the mobile device's VPN settings, but no tunnel or relay is created. (Not available on Windows.)
• Configure VPN — creates a seamless VPN with a hosted service so you can switch locations without reconfiguring devices. Requires 1 available credit.
• Configure Multi-Hop VPN — sets up a two-hop VPN for additional privacy: enters through one service location, and exits through another, so no single server can see both your source and destination. Requires 2 available credits.
• Switch Locations — moves an existing network's service to a different geographic region. This can interrupt service for users until they toggle the VPN off, refreshing their service, and turning the VPN back on. Requires 1 credit currently in use by an existing service.
• Vacation Mode — creates a VPN optimized for travel, routing your traffic through your chosen exit location. Requires 1 available credit.
• Set it and Forget it (iOS / macOS only) — creates a VPN and configures on-demand rules so the VPN connects automatically whenever your device is on a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Requires 1 available credit.

Running a Wizard

Tap a wizard row to start it. Each wizard presents a dialog that collects the information it needs — region selection, network name, DNS provider, and so on. You can cancel at any time to abort without making changes.

When the wizard completes successfully, the app returns to the previous screen and your new configuration appears in the relevant lists (Main Screen, Networks, Services).

Credits and Subscriptions

If you do not have enough credits to run a wizard, the floating action button in the Services screen changes to Buy subscription, Renew subscription, or Upgrade subscription depending on your current plan state. Tap it to go to the Subscriptions screen and purchase or restore the credits you need.
