Networks
The Networks screen lists every network your Nettica account can access. Each network is a WireGuard overlay that groups a set of devices together so they can communicate securely. Expanding a network shows all of its VPN peers — every device currently joined to that VPN network.
Open Networks in the Nettica app →
Searching Networks
Tap the search icon in the top-right corner of the app bar and type to filter the network list by name. The list updates with each keystroke. Clear the field to show all networks again.
Adding a Network
Tap the add network floating action button (the + icon at the bottom right) to create a new network. The dialog that appears contains:
- Name — the name of the VPN name (e.g.
vpn). Must follow DNS hostname rules and be between 2-14 characters. - Description — a human-readable label shown in the list.
- Advanced settings — expand this section to set the default subnet, DNS servers, MTU, and member policies.
The Allow users to create endpoints and Users can only see endpoints policy flags control what non-admin members are permitted to see or do within this network. Enable them when you want to restrict members to managing only their own device's connection details.
Joining a Network from the Networks Screen
Tap the join network floating action button (the network-plus icon) to add this device to an existing network. This opens the Join Network screen where you choose the network and confirm a DNS name for your device.
Alternatively, tap a network's header row directly to join that specific network immediately, skipping the picker step.
Expanding a Network to See Peers
Tap the expand arrow on a network row to reveal the list of VPN peers — all the devices that belong to that network. Each peer row shows the device's DNS name and internal address.
- Tap a peer to open the VPN Settings screen for that peer's connection.
- Swipe a peer left to remove that device from the network. A confirmation dialog will appear before the change is made.
Removing a peer from a network immediately revokes that device's WireGuard configuration for the network.
Editing a Network
Tap the pencil icon on a network row to open the edit dialog. You can change the network's:
- Description
- Default subnet — the IP range assigned to new peers
- DNS servers — applied to all peers on this network
- MTU — maximum transmission unit in bytes (0 = auto)
- Allow users to create endpoints — policy toggle
- Users can only see endpoints — policy toggle
You must be logged in as an admin or owner to edit network settings.
Deleting a Network
Swipe left to reveal the delete action. A confirmation dialog will appear before anything is removed. Deleting a network is permanent — it removes the network and all its VPN configurations from every member device.
Deleting a network affects all devices in that network. Every peer will lose its WireGuard configuration for this network. This action cannot be undone.
Pull Down to Refresh
If the network list appears out of date, pull the list downward and release. The app will re-fetch all networks and their current peer lists from the server.
